What is ruqyah?

1) Literally, Ruqyah means “incantation, charm, talisman, etc.

2) In the practical sense, ruqyah usually means blowing or a spiritual healing of mental and physical ailments.

3) Terminological meaning of “spells”: covering a word or sentence in a certain manner, thereby causing its effect to be seen externally.

4) bloing/Exorcism Literally, treatment through the recitation of scriptures or spells.

5) The Ruqyah of the Shariah-guided method is the Ruqyah Shariah. We mean Ruqyah Shariah by Ruqyah.

6) Definition of Ruqyah Sharia: “Asking Allah for relief from any danger or disease by reciting the holy name of Allah through Quranic verses or hadiths.”

According to Tim Humble, 

Linguistically, “Ruqyah” is an incantation: a series of words said with the intention of achieving a particular effect, particularly when the incantation involves blowing. Linguistically, this includes things like magic spells when they are said verbally.

Islamically, it is the ayats of the Qur’an, authentic du’aa, and the perfect names and attributes of Allah that a Muslim reads as an incantation with the intention of treating himself or another, seeking a cure from Allah alone.

According to Khed al Hibshi,

Ruqyah language:

The name of the ruqyah is said to be ruqyah by the sick ruqyah. Ibn al-Atheer said: The incantation that is recited by the owner of a lesion, such as fever, epilepsy, and other afflictions, because he is protected by it, and among them is the Almighty’s saying: “And it was said that he who performs ruqyah,” that is, he who performs ruqyah, warning that there is no one who performs ruqyah to protect him. The noun is Ruqyah, and the woman is Ruqyah, and the plural: Ruqyah.

The jurists’ terminology for ruqyah does not deviate from the linguistic meaning.

Ruqyah may be by writing something and commenting on it, and it may be by reading something from the Qur’an and the exorcists and supplications that are narrated.

Ruqyah in the term:

Ruqyahs are special words that heal from diseases, diseases, and deadly causes. These words are legitimate, such as Al-Fatihah, Al-Mu’awwidhatayn, and the like of all that is good, and some of them are unlawful, such as the ruqyah of pre-Islamic times, India, and others. Because it may have been blasphemy, or forbidden.

1- Legality:

With what was from the Book of God and the prophetic supplications and supplications free from polytheism.

2- Forbidden:

Polytheism or blasphemy, such as supplicating other than God from jinn, planets, magic, and so on from talismans and worshiping other than God.

3- Disliked:

Tim Humble said ,

• In ruqyah, we can divide the different theories and practices into a number of categories:

  • Those things which are clearly mentioned in the Qur’an and Sunnah, or they are matters of ijmaa’ (scholarly consensus). These must be accepted.
  • Those things which were from the actions of the reliable scholars of Islam. These are not guaranteed to be correct, but we bear them in mind, especially when the practice is in accordance with the Qur’an and Sunnah, and when it is reported from one or more of the major scholars of Islam.
  • Those things which are from our own experience.

A person who performs ruqyah treatment or recites the Quran for other cures is called a raqi, or spiritual healer. A spiritual healer is not a doctor, but his performance is better than a doctor’s. A paranormal person seeks treatment from a raqi when a doctor fails to treat properly and is also unable to diagnose and discover the cause of a disease. After some days or months, he will be properly cured. A doctor cannot handle any paranormal problems like black magic, evil eyes, or jinn problems.

  How you can recite this ruqysh ayat/dua?

1.Ruqyah dua from sunnah 7 times

2.Ruqyah common ayat  -3 times.

3.Ruqyah ayat to destroy amulets or magical material 33times

4.Ayat e shifa 3-7times

5.sunnah ruqyah dua ayat 7 times

6.Then recite ruqyah ayat for Evil Eyes and Hasad.
